Terms of Service

Greater Story Publishing · The Gospel of the Firstborn · Firstborn Academy

Effective Date: October 15, 2026

1. Scope and operator

These Terms govern use of gospelofthefirstborn.com, www.gospelofthefirstborn.com and academy.gospelofthefirstborn.com and the direct Academy Digital Edition service offered by Greater Story Publishing, operated by Jacob Denys (“we,” “us” or “our”).

The Privacy Policy explains information practices. The Purchase & Refund Policy explains direct purchases, refund requests and Amazon responsibilities. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Provide accurate account information, protect your password and use an account you are authorized to control. Contact support@gospelofthefirstborn.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Our services are not directed to children under 13. To create an account or purchase, you must have legal capacity to agree to these Terms, or obtain appropriate parent/guardian involvement where permitted by law. Do not create an account for an under-13 child.

Creating a free account does not itself purchase the book or grant unrestricted access. Purchased, book-activated and invited access are subject to the applicable verified access method.

3. Digital Edition and activation

The direct Digital Edition provides the digital book and Academy reading/listening experience described with the offer, including synchronized audio and available highlight/resource features. It is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription.

Preorder access begins October 15, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Existing approved early access is handled separately.

Eligible Amazon book editions include Academy access under the published activation instructions. If you need help activating your edition, contact support. An Amazon order is separate from a direct Digital Edition payment; these Terms do not replace Amazon's order terms.

4. Permanent Academy access

Permanent Academy access means a non-expiring purchase entitlement associated with your account. It is not a subscription and does not guarantee perpetual hosting, uninterrupted availability or unchanged technology.

Changes to hosting or features do not by themselves cancel your purchased rights. We will not use an ordinary technology change as a reason to impose an unagreed recurring charge for the purchased entitlement.

If purchased access cannot be delivered, contact support. We will review the issue and seek to restore access, provide a reasonable alternative delivery of purchased content where appropriate, or provide an applicable refund/remedy. Failure-to-deliver claims and mandatory consumer rights are not extinguished by the standard 72-hour voluntary refund window.

5. Content and intellectual property

The book, audio, artwork and original Academy materials are protected by intellectual property rights held by their respective owners. Purchased access permits personal reading, listening and use of authorized downloads.

Do not distribute or sell unauthorized copies, upload protected content publicly, share account credentials to provide unauthorized access, or bypass access controls. Ordinary lawful quotation, fair use and other legal rights remain unaffected. Educational/group reuse beyond the available license can be requested from support.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, unlawful activity, harmful code, unauthorized access, or automated extraction that compromises security or others' access. Do not impersonate others or submit information you are not entitled to provide.

Ask Jacob is for book, Scripture and teaching questions. Customer Support handles account, purchase, activation, download and technical matters. Do not submit full payment-card information or unnecessary sensitive personal details.

The theological Firstborn Code of Conduct is a learning resource; it does not replace these commercial Terms.

7. Availability and changes

Online features depend on hosting, network, payment and email services and can experience maintenance or interruption. We may update technology, presentation and learning resources while respecting purchased rights and applicable law.

We do not promise continuous availability, an unchanged feature set or a particular learning outcome. We will communicate significant changes affecting purchased delivery through appropriate notices.

8. Restrictions and suspension

We may restrict access reasonably necessary to address unauthorized use, serious misuse, security threats or legal requirements. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and provide a support route to resolve mistakes; urgent security/legal issues can require immediate restrictions.

Temporary restrictions are not automatically a cancellation of purchase rights or a refund. We will review disputes and provide remedies required by applicable law. Exercising privacy or consumer rights is not itself grounds for penalizing an account.

9. Refunds, support and account closure

Direct purchases follow the Purchase & Refund Policy. Approved direct refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method. Amazon purchases follow Amazon's applicable procedures.

Privacy, account-closure and correction requests are reviewed through support. Closing an account, canceling a payment, unsubscribing and requesting deletion are different actions. We will explain the relevant effects on account access and retained transaction records before completing account-related requests.

10. Third-party services

Payment and email providers and externally linked sites have their own terms and practices. We remain responsible for our direct offer and the customer support described here. Amazon handles its order/payment/return processes; Academy handles its activation and technical support.

11. Consumer rights and disputes

Contact support@gospelofthefirstborn.com with an issue so we can review it. Nothing here excludes non-waivable warranties, statutory remedies or rights to bring a claim through legally available channels.

12. Updates and contact

Future Terms changes will display a revised effective date and material changes will be communicated appropriately. They will not retroactively remove purchased rights or mandatory consumer protections.
